Impact of a LOW G lycemic Index formula versus standard breakfast on postprandial glycemia in type 2 Diabetes M ellitus
The LOWGI-DM project investigates the impact of a low glycemic index nutritional formula as a substitute for the traditional Brazilian breakfast in people with type 2 diabetes. The proposal is to evaluate whether this strategy can improve postprandial glycemia control, an important factor in the prevention of cardiovascular and metabolic complications.
In this randomized, crossover clinical study, participants consumed both the nutritional formula and a standard breakfast at different times while having their blood glucose levels monitored by continuous-use glucose sensors.
