Jessica Teixeira
Scientific Initiation
I am an 8th-year Nutrition student at FANUT/UFG and currently participate in several academic and extension initiatives. I am a Scientific Initiation scholarship holder for the Postgraduate Program in Nutrition (PPGNUT/UFG), within the Obesity Study Group (GEO). I am also a member of the Academic Diabetes League (LAD), linked to the UFG School of Medicine, and I am the events director for the ALERE Junior Nutrition Company. In addition, I am a member of the MotaLab microbiota study group, where I develop research and extension activities, such as scientific presentations and tests for the production of lunch boxes for volunteers in an ongoing study. Outside of academia, I enjoy spending my free time on the farm, fishing, reading good books or simply relaxing. Cooking, especially cakes and desserts, is one of my favorite ways to clear my mind. I also love running in the park whenever I can.

Carolayne Martins Ciqueira
Scientific Initiation
Undergraduate student in Nutrition at the Federal University of Goiás (UFG). Member of the Academic League of Diabetes and Endocrinology of the UFG School of Medicine. I work on research projects in the area of cancer (theme of the TCC). I have two years of experience in Scientific Initiation with a focus on Affirmative Actions, supervised by Professor Andrea Sugai. I participated in the extension project “User Experience” in maternity hospitals. Currently, I am part of the research group in the area of Intestinal Microbiota and Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, where I am responsible for marketing, support in extension projects and also work directly in research activities. In my leisure time, I like to be in good company, travel, watch movies and series and be with my family.

Geovanna Rodrigues de Sá
Scientific Initiation
Undergraduate student in Nutrition at Universidade Salgado de Oliveira, currently in the penultimate period of the course. She works as an intern in the Food and Nutrition Unit (UAN), focusing on quality control, menu planning, application of good handling practices and support for the management of operational processes. In 2024, I participated in a project carried out by the college called Golden August, which contributed to the collection of glass jars destined for donation to the milk bank. This action resulted in the publication of an experience report at the Brazilian Nutrition Congress (Conbran), held in São Paulo, co-authored by colleagues from the undergraduate program. She is currently part of an extension project at the UFG School of Nutrition (Fanut), where she actively contributes to biweekly meetings, conversation circles, discussion of scientific articles and recipe testing focused on the group's line of research. I have a special interest in research, which motivates my continuous search for learning, innovation and deepening of topics such as intestinal microbiota, collective nutrition and nutritional strategies aimed at public health and individualized care. Something personal: I love learning new things, especially when they involve creative challenges, such as cooking. I deeply value character, purpose, principles and faith. My faith is the foundation that guides my choices and shapes who I am, both in my personal and professional life. I believe that knowledge should be at the service of good, and that caring for others is also an act of love and responsibility.
